High School of Fashion Industries (HSFI) and Repair Shop collaborated to create a multi-generational after-school program between fashion-focused high school students and New York City’s fashion industry experts to share vanishing couture repair and alteration skills to generate a more sustainable fashion future across generations.

This program included six two-hour workshops designed for twelve students focused on: chainstitch embroidery, sewing machine maintenance, sashiko, alteration basics, fabric scrap reinvention, and darning. ️
